About this Palette:
The Make Believe in Yourself Eye and Cheek Palette from Tarte is now available for purchase. It features 10 unicorn inspired eyeshadow shades one of which is a matte shade and a beautiful kaliedioscopic highlight that you can use on both cheeks and eyes. Tarte used their signature Amazonian clay and mineral pigments formula to create this eye catching palette. The shades are bright but slightly muted and can be used either dry or wet for a more foiled type effect. It has been formulated without Parabens or Phylates, and has been ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested.
Available on Tarte.com and Sephora.com for $40 USD.

My Thoughts on the Palette:
After using this palette for a few weeks I can say that I love a few things about this palette and there are a few things that I am not so in love with. The colors are gorgeous and they really do swatch great with a finger. But using a brush you don’t get the same sort of payoff unless the brush is wet and you foil it on or you use a finger to apply. The shades do blend quite nicely together once you get the proper amount of pigment on your eyes. And myth, the only matte shade is a really great transition color. That being said all of the shades are so shiny that it’s actually hard to get any depth with the darker colors. I have found it necessary to pull in other shades from the Tarteist Pro Palette in order to get some extra depth when creating a look. Having to use another palette does not make the Make Believe in Yourself the best standalone palette. However the shades are gorgeous and if you don’t mind reaching into your stash for an extra color here and there it can be a really great addition to your makeup kit.
The highlight in and of itself is a beautiful color. The problem that I have been having with it is it’s staying power. Believe is gorgeous, but unfortunately it simply doesn’t last all that long on the cheeks which is a bummer. It’s not enough of a con to not buy this palette the colors are whimsical and fun, dreamy and fairy-like. It’s fun to have something like this in my collection to reach for. If you are looking for something dreamy to add to your collection, this might just be for you.
